For those of you that are planning on travelling from afar we hope that the following information will assist you with planning your trip.Airports
Things to consider about airports...- San Jose (SJC) is closest. Serviced by Southwest. Is more of medium sized airport - fairly easy in/out access. Lines to check-in on Sunday can be very long - get to the airport early!
- San Francisco (SFO) is a major airport. During non-rush hour traffic it's only about 40 -50 minutes to Los Gatos. If you are coming in a day or two early and want to sight see in SF, this may be the best option.
- Oakland (OAK) is the furthest away. Serviced by Southwest. Is a medium sized airport. May consider this option if you are coming in a day or two early and/or staying a day or two after the wedding OR if you save a fair amount of money on tickets.
Rental Cars
Los Gatos isn't serviced by mass transportation so you will need a rental car. If you are coming in early and planning on spending time in San Francisco, you may be able to do without a rental car while in SF - depends on where you want to stay and what you want to do. There are several city locations for the major rental car locations, so you can pick up a car in SF and return at the airport (make sure to note this on your reservation).If you are reserving a car at the airport, check out HotWire. It's what we use on most vacations to book our rental cars.
Lodging
We have discussed rooms with three hotels in the medium price range. All locations are near the town square area of Los Gatos - walking distance to bagel shops, coffee, restaurants, bars, shopping. Small hotel with a nice character. 22 rooms. All rooms have one bed per room (so if you want two beds, look elsewhere). Rooms include high-speed internet access (you know you want to checkout our website just before the wedding). Free use of Los Gatos Athletic Club. No minimum number of nights. They are NOT holding any rooms for us, but you get a wedding discount when you mention our names. So you should reserve ASAP. Call the hotel directly to reserve a room and tell them you are booking for the Hristova/Rogers wedding -- then you get the wedding rate.

Small hotel. Mixture of room types. Rooms include high-speed internet access. No minimum number of nights. Only 1/2 block off the town square. They are holding 10 rooms for us, but book early. Tell them you want to reserve a room for the Hristova/Rogers wedding and get 15% off their normal rate. We are giving up any unbooked rooms on July 5th. Prices noted in parenthesis are the regular price before the 15% wedding discount.

Nice, full service hotel. Recently remodeled! Rooms include high-speed internet access and most rooms have CD and DVD players (like you plan on sitting in your room to watch a movie). We have NOT blocked rooms because we are held financially responsible for any rooms not booked by our guests. So let us know if you would like to book a room here. They have two-night minimum for August (either Fri/Sat or Sat/Sun nights). Prices noted are their regular room prices. Prices in parentheses are the prices IF we reserve a block of rooms.
