What is a Honeymoon Registry?

Our Honeymoon Registry works like the traditional gift registries except that instead of individually choosing dishes, toasters, and other household items, we've itemized components and activities of a honeymoon. By using the honeymoon registry, wedding guests are given a choice of creative gifts and allowed to choose a gift that better matches their own personality -- what all gift givers strive to do. This is a way to give the bride and groom something they cannot ask for with a traditional registry: a lifetime of memories of the perfect honeymoon.

How Does it Work?

You select items from the registry (select items where the Requested quantity is more than the Purchased quantity) and Add to the Shopping Cart. You are presented with two options to pay - online payments via PayPal, Send a check. The payments are sent to the bride and groom. They use your contributions to have a fantastic honeymoon. You don't need to lug a gift wrapped box to the wedding or pay high shipping prices to have a gift delivered.

How do I Pay?

You have two ways to send money. You may use PayPal to make a payment online via credit card or a PayPal balance transfer. You do NOT need to have an account with PayPal in order to use the online payment method. Selecting the Pay Online using PayPal option will take you to PayPal's secure website to enter your payment. If paying online isn't for you, then you can write a check and mail to us.

Why do the prices look so low?

If you've been to Australia you may wonder why the activity prices look so low or wondering why the quantity of some items looks so high. We broken the items up into bite-sized chunks so the prices are more reasonable. So you can select of a few items and contribute to different activities for our honeymoon. You also select a few different items to create a theme, such as a few water-based events, or a food based theme.

Geez, how many nights of lodging do you need?

See question 2. We have broken items up into bite-sized chunks so prices are more reasonable (and not overwhelming). Unfortunately, we aren't planning on staying for two months. We are hoping to stay for two weeks at a variety of different hotels as we do a bit of traveling.

Are there service charges?

While the concept of a honeymoon registry isn't new, we created this version of the registry ourselves. On reason was that some services charged up to 10% in service charges. For this service the only service charges are the one associated with payment made via PayPal. PayPal charges a 3% processing fee for payments (this is typical to what merchants pay for credit card payments). So if you send us $100 via PayPal, we will get $97 deposited into our account. This fee is much less than the shipping and handling fees you would have to pay from some of the online retailed if you were to purchase and ship us a blender and a toaster.

How does the couple know I purchased a gift?

We will get a confirmation sent from PayPal for the online payments. We will also get notified when you mark items off the registry and chose to send money via check. You will also receive an email confirmation from us with a summary of the items you've selected. You can print this summary and include in a card if you wish to send one.

Are you sure you are going do XYZ activity?

Since our honeymoon will be in December, we haven't finalized our honeymoon plans (or really planned for it yet). Our registry reflects some of the activities and places we would like to visit, but the logistics, costs, weather, and other factors will determine what we are able to do.
